Marketing English: approve which version?

Your campaign has two banner versions and several possible placements. “Can you approve this?” can leave the reviewer unsure which one you mean.

The short answer

Write “Please approve version B of the banner for the homepage only.” The asset is the banner, the version is B, and the placement is the homepage. This asks for approval; it does not claim approval has already been given.

Make the approval object specific.

Use approve plus the item, then add the version and intended use. “For the homepage only” limits this request to that placement. If the reviewer approves version A, do not rewrite the message as approval of version B. Likewise, approval of a homepage banner does not by itself describe permission to use it in email. Keep the request separate from the reply.
