The short answer

“Included in the rental fee” means no separate charge for that item within the stated package. “Available for an additional charge” means it costs extra. Available alone tells you that a service can be obtained, not that it is included.

Read the cost condition next to the service.

Find the service name, then check the phrase that controls its cost. Included, at no additional charge and for an additional charge have different meanings. A service can be offered and still cost extra. Here the room fee covers the projector and Wi-Fi, while printing is priced separately.

Original meeting-room offer

Base rental

The meeting-room rental fee is $80 for two hours.

Included services

A projector and Wi-Fi are included in the rental fee.

Optional service

Printing is available for an additional charge of $0.10 per page.

Notice the difference

Printing is available, but it is not part of the $80 package. The offer names its extra price.

Question 1 of 3

Which service is included in the rental fee?
Read all answers and explanations
  1. Which service is included in the rental fee?

    A projector

The offer explicitly includes a projector and Wi-Fi. Printing costs extra; catering is not mentioned.

  2. What does the printing sentence mean?

Printing can be requested but costs extra.

Available permits requesting the service; additional charge says it is priced separately.

  3. Which statement follows the stated Wi-Fi condition?

There is no separate Wi-Fi charge within this rental package.

Wi-Fi is included. The per-page charge belongs to printing, not Wi-Fi.

Put it into practice

Repair a booking note

Correct the note so that it matches the extra-charge condition.

Original draft

Printing is included because it is available.

Which edit meets the goal?
See a model answer

Printing is available but charged separately.

The corrected note separates two facts instead of treating availability as a price promise.

A little more clarity

Common questions

A few useful details before you move on.

Does included mean the entire rental is free?

No. The base rental still costs $80. Included means the stated item has no separate charge within that package.

For example

The projector is included in the $80 rental fee.

Can I assume an unmentioned service is included?

No. The passage does not establish its cost or availability. Keep your answer within the stated offer.

For example

Catering is not mentioned; its conditions are unknown.

Take it into your day

Available does not automatically mean included.
