AI English: hand off a draft for review
“Please review” can leave a content owner unsure what decision you need. Turn the uncertainty into a specific check.
Professor Scott MendozaThe short answer
Write “This is an AI-generated draft. Please verify the event dates against the approved calendar before sharing it.” Name the item to check and its reference. Not yet verified means the check is pending, not that the draft is necessarily wrong.
Name the draft, the check and the reference.
Verify asks the reviewer to establish accuracy. “Check the dates against the calendar” means compare those dates with that reference. Against does not express opposition here. State the draft’s current status separately from the requested action. If only the dates have been checked, say that; do not turn a limited check into “everything is verified.”
