The format, explained
Listening & Reading
Two multiple-choice sections: 100 Listening questions and 100 Reading questions. Administrative time is additional.
Speaking and Writing
Separate productive-skill tests, which may be taken together or separately. Speaking has 11 questions; Writing has 8.
Understand your score target
Listening and Reading each use 5–495, for a combined 10–990. Speaking and Writing each use 0–200. Do not compare those numbers as though they use the same scale.
Where to start practising
- Write the exact test name next to your target score before choosing a practice book or course.
- Check the delivery format with your local test provider; do not assume every regional or institutional version is identical.
- Use workplace situations to connect the language to a purpose: scheduling, requests, information and decisions.
Common questions
Does a Listening & Reading score include Speaking?
No. Speaking and Writing have their own tests and score scales.
Are these guides a complete TOEIC course?
No. They explain the structure and help you choose a next step. The planned Master Course will be a separate offering; enrollment is not open yet.
