Where to start practising

  1. Practise delivering useful information at a clear pace, rather than racing through the time available.
  2. For a picture, describe visible details before adding assumptions about the people or place.
  3. For a schedule task, check the exact detail the question requests; a fluent answer with the wrong time is still a problem.

Common questions

Is this included in the 990-point test?

No. The 10–990 combined scale belongs to Listening & Reading. Speaking has its own 0–200 scale.

Should every answer be the same length?

No. The task groups have different response limits. Practise concise information answers separately from developed opinions.
